How To Get Better Battery Life On Windows 10

Microsoft’s Windows 10 upgrade is terrific for those looking to get the most out of any device that they already own. Available since last July, it has some great apps and options built-in for notebooks, desktops, tablets and Windows
Battery life is paramount though. It’s not fun carrying around an external battery or charger with your notebook, tablet or Windows
I have drafted this article to show you how to get the most out of your battery if you are using window 10 Below.
Making its debut with the free Windows 10 upgrade is the Battery Saver. Battery Saver isn’t an add-on or a separate download. Microsoft built the utility directly into Windows 10, replacing the battery profile and power management tools that users relied on for years.
Battery Saver is intended to take the guess-work out of power settings. There’s only one interface for it, and it activates itself manually depending on the settings you set.
Look for the battery icon in the right corner of your Taskbar. Click on it.
How-to-get-better-Windows-10-Battery-Life-14
When in Tablet Mode, the battery meter is always visible, but outside of Tablet Mode it disappears, forcing you to click or tap on the arrow on the Taskbar.
What you see in the Battery menu depends on what your device’s power state is. If it’s charging, you’ll see a nice countdown clock, letting you know how long it’s going to take before you have a full battery. You can use the toggle on the left to change how bright your screen is.
When your device isn’t plugged into an internet connection you get a clickable icon for Battery Saver and in severe cases, an estimate of how long you have until your battery dies. Tap or click on Battery Saver to turn it on. Right-click with your mouse or tap and hold on the toggle to open the Battery Saver menu.
Tap and click on Battery Saver Settings.
Screenshot-225
Battery Saver dims your screen and tries to help you save battery life by prevent apps from doing work in the background. From the Battery Saver Settings Menu you can decide which apps bypass Batter Saver and check for updates anyway. You can also decide when you want your device to go into Battery Saver mode with the toggle at the top of the screen
How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Unplug Your Accessories
We often connect our smartphones and other gadgets to our PCs, hoping to give them a quick charge or transfer a bit of information. Smartphones, mobile internet modems and more feed off the power that your USB port provides, helping to deplete your battery faster. If you need a bit more power to get through the day, try unplugging all nonessential accessories.
How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Manually Dim Your Screen
Every device has two big draws on power: its processor and its display. This is why Battery Saver goes after apps running in the background and your screen brightness when it’s turned on. If you’d like to get better battery life in Windows 10 start by dimming your display when mobile.

Manually Dim Your Screen
How-to-get-better-Windows-10-Battery-Life-7 (1)
With the mouse pointer, click on the Action Center bubble on the right of the Taskbar. Tablet users should place their finger on the right edge of their screen and slowly slide it to the left. Tap or click on Expand.
Now tap or click on the screen brightness toggle to decide on a lower brightness setting. You can also adjust screen brightness in the battery menu. The device used in this example is a Surface Pro 3. As such, your brightness options will be different. Every device maker sets their own default values for brightness, not Microsoft.
How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Turn Off WiFi
If you’re really feeling like you need to eek out every bit of battery you can, you can turn off Wi-Fi from the Action Center or from the Wi-Fi menu. Tap or click on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar then tap or click on the toggle on the left in the Wi-Fi menu.
How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Close Programs
Windows Store apps are designed in a way that helps limit their battery drain. Windows 10 manages them, restricting their processes so that they don’t harm your experience. Programs aren’t designed with battery concerns in mind. If programs are running in the background they are taxing your processor since Windows basically lets them do whatever they want.
Programs that’ll harm your battery life include photo editors, video editors, video games and even some browsers. (Chrome for Windows is said to be a huge drain on battery life.)
Close them once you’re done with them.
How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Quick Tips
The Windows 10 battery icon shows how much power you have in real-time. You don’t have to leave what you’re working on to find out how much time you have left. For a battery life estimate, place the mouse cursor over the battery icon in the Taskbar. Note that this changes in real-time depending on what programs you have open and how bright your screen is.If you hover over the battery icon when charging you’ll get an estimate of how long you to stay plugged up until your battery reaches full capacity. Most notebooks feature ambient light sensors that will adjust your screen brightness depending on how much light there is in the room. It’s why notebooks always tend to get better battery in low-light and not in bright-light. These sensors tend to boost screen brightness so that text and images are easier to see.
You can Now enjoy Your Window10 Battery life to fullest.
Its imperative to note that these article is not a fix for any already damaged battery.
You can get a genuine battery from jumia or any other prominent online store for your device.

iOS 10, Features,Rumours,Virtual reality,everything

What we want to see from  iOS 10

Happy days: it's almost iOS refresh time again, with a brand new version of Apple's mobile platform due to arrive in a couple of months at WWDC (if the schedule of previous years can be trusted). But what surprises has the Cupertino company got in store this time?

We've heard rumours about what's coming down the pipe with iOS 10, but just in case Tim Cook and his team of engineers are in need of inspiration, we've pulled together a wishlist of ten features we'd definitely like to see in the next version of Apple's mobile software.

1. Virtual reality

You can use Google Cardboard on an iPhone to create a VR experience of sorts, but a native app would be so much better - we're ready Apple. Make it happen.
Some kind of extra headset accessory would be required for a fully immersive virtual reality feeling, but there's no reason why Apple can't create an iOS 10 app in advance.

2. Revamped home screens

Okay, okay, you don't like the widgets idea - but even just a bit of flexibility with icon layouts would be welcome here, Apple, just to shake everything up a bit.
Let us put icons where we want and leave the wallpaper peeking through, or apply some approved Apple widgets, or even - gasp - install a third-party launcher program instead.

3. Improvements to Siri

Siri is fine as far as it goes, but Google Now is currently a lot more intuitive in terms of predicting your needs before you even have to run a search. Maybe Siri could follow suit.We saw some of this introduced last year at WWDC 2015 with a 'proactive' Siri update, but we'd like Apple to go further and introduce more features based on user activity.

4. A new look

Visual aesthetics are something of a subjective call, but for our money Android's Material Design looks a lot fresher than the iOS interface, which was last overhauled in 2013.
Your mileage might vary, but we'd like to see the design of the iOS software be as modern and as gorgeous-looking as the hardware that Apple churns out year after year.

5. Embrace the web

Apple has made some half-hearted steps forward with iCloud, but we'd like to see iOS 10 a lot more cloud-savvy in terms of native apps and how Apple deals with data.
Syncing could be improved, especially for those using several iOS devices, and how about streaming iTunes content (music and movies) straight from the web Apple? Pretty please.

6. Hide native apps

This one is strongly rumoured to be on the way anyway, but just in case it isn't we'd like to add our support: make it possible to uninstall or at least hide native apps that aren't used.
Why should users who don't own an Apple Watch have to look at the Apple Watch icon? Or those with no interest in finances have to scroll past the Stocks app? Yeah, exactly.

7. Better app integration

Apple has allowed customisations like third-party keyboards and photo extensions but we think it can go further: give other apps greater access to the mobile OS already.
Imagine being able to use Siri from inside Gmail or automation apps such as Tasker or IFTTT more fully on iOS - it would be a real benefit for developers and iPhone power users.

8. Guest mode

One more feature iOS might want to borrow from Android is Guest Mode - it comes in really handy when someone else wants to borrow (or just look at) your phone.
Apple has made small moves in this direction with multi-user support on the iPad for educational purposes, and it shouldn't take too much in the way of extra coding.

9. More camera settings

iPhones excel at getting the best pictures with a point and a tap, but there are those who want to delve deeper into the photographic settings - how about some love here Apple?
Apps such as Manual have rushed in to fill the void left by Apple but it's time some of these features were added as native options - they don't have to be overly complicated.

10. Default apps

Come on Apple, we know you've got the whole walled garden approach going on, but we really would like something other than Safari to open up after tapping a link.
And while you're at it, how about allowing other default apps for texting and messaging besides the rather wonky iMessage? It won't happen, of course, but we can dream...

HTC 10 review, specifications, camera, performance, hands on , everything you needs to know

HTC 10 review, specifications, camera, performance, hands on , everything you needs to know
HTC 10. It’s more of what you’re looking for in a flagship phone. Unparalleled performance. Superb 24-bit Hi-Res sound. The world’s first Optical Image Stabilisation in both front and back cameras. And one of the highest smartphone camera rankings ever from DxOMark. All in a beautifully crafted metal unibody.
HTC 10 smartphone was launched in April 2016. The phone comes with a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels at a PPI of 564 pixels per inch.
The HTC 10 is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2000GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the HTC 10 packs a 12-Ultrapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The HTC 10 runs Android 6 and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery. It measures 145.90 x 71.90 x 9.00 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 161.00 grams.
The HTC 10 is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.

Next generation camera

HTC 10 delivers what may well be the best smartphone camera available today. With innovations like the world’s first OIS front and back, 12 million UltraPixels, faster laser autofocus and more. A DxOMark score of 88*, one of the highest camera quality scores of any smartphone so far, shows we’re definitely on the right track.
A tricked-out photography setup that covers everything a point-and-shoot camera should.
Taken with the HTC 10
Camera sample of HTC 10
Taken with the HTC 10
Camera sample of HTC 10
HTC wasn’t needlessly humble in introducing the HTC 10’s camera setup. The big ‘huzzah’ around it is the addition of optical image stabilization (OIS) in both the front and back cameras, which is a fairly big deal considering 99% of other handsets with OIS only have it for the rear camera. This is supposed to bring steady photos from both units, helping the phone deal with your natural hand movements. We expect selfies from the HTC 10 will be very sharp and focused, not just with the OIS, but due to other unusual and highly promising additions. The smartphone features a 5MP front camera with big, 1.34 micron-sized pixels, auto-focus, wide f/1.8 aperture, 23mm focal length, and 1080p-resolution video recording. With the big pixels and wide aperture, this camera should perform well in the dark, while the 23mm focal length equals an 86 degree-wide viewing angle, making group shots a legitimate possibility.
Turning our attention to the rear camera, we have a 12MP HTC UltraPixel 2 unit with large, 1.55 micron-sized pixels and tons of goodies – laser autofocus, wide f1/8 aperture, 26mm focal length (80 degree-wide angle), dual tone LED flash, manual controls, RAW photo and 4K-resolution video recording support (complete with 24-bit audio). According to HTC, the new generation UltraPixel sensor captures up to 136% more light in every shot. Moreover, the HTC 10 launches its camera almost instantly, in as little as 0.6 seconds, while the 2nd-generation laser autofocus system is fast enough to work even in burst shot mode, letting you pull off action shots easily.

Brilliant Hi-Res Audio

HTC 10 sets a new gold standard in sound quality with its brand new BoomSound Hi-Fi edition speakers, Personal Audio Profile and Hi-Res audio earphones. All of which works beautifully with HTC 10’s certified 24-bit Hi-Res audio. Music has never sounded this good on a smartphone.

Off the chart performance

With HTC 10, apps launch faster and run smoother, the screen reacts instantly to your every touch, and things just work brilliantly. It’s what you expect from best in class hardware and software tuned to near perfection.

Made to last and last

Every part of HTC 10 has been optimized from the ground up to run more efficiently. Giving you up to 2 days* of use. It also stays cooler while charging faster than ever – up to 50% in just 30 minutes – enough for a day on the go.
Pros
  • Exceptional build quality
  • A more subtle approach to software than on previous HTC phones
  • Top-tier performance
  • First Android phone that supports Airplay streaming out of the box
  • Great audio through headphones
Cons
  • Merely average battery life
  • Camera performance falls short of some rivals
  • Sound is considerably less impressivewhen you listen through speakers
  • Hi-res earbuds aren’t included with US models

Conclusion

The HTC 10 seems like a well thought-out smartphone, both inside and outside. Its impressive design and cutting-edge hardware even the playing field between it and the rest of the 2016 flagship pack, while optimizations and choices made with delighting users in mind – the ultra-responsive touchscreen, the heavily tricked-out cameras, and the performance tweaks on the software side – could win it some much-needed attention from critics and users alike. Of course, it’s unreasonable to fall for promises before we’ve had a chance at trying the HTC 10 ourselves, but it seems like a really nice smartphone so far, and a much more convincing product than the HTC One M9. Hopefully, the HTC 10 didn’t launch too late to get all the attention it deserves.

GOOD STUFF

  • Fast performance
  • Reliable battery
  • Great sound
  • Good software

BAD STUFF

  • Boring design
  • Slow camera
  • High price
