Apple Trying to Sell Used iPhone In India
Apple has begun talks to conquer India by selling used smartphone in the market, but several players are slamming Apple for their move. Apple is seeking permission to become the first company to import and sell used phones in India.
This is actually the second time they’re attempting to do so, the last time was in 2015. Sudhir Hasija, chairman of Karbonn Mobiles said, “Make in India could turn into Dump in India.” Those in the smartphone industry are warning the government that the move will bring in electronic waste and affect local manufacturer, not to mention, defame Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Made in India’ programme. Apple is desperate to get a bite of the Indian Apple as its sales in the US and China are slowing.
Some Indian think the government should honour Apple request while some think it’s a way to rubbish the India economy and overthrown wining smartphone companies like Xiaomi, Meizu, Karboom, Gionee and Micromaxx.
What if Apple should come to Nigeria and sell used iPhone’s? What do you think will happen?
